925 Sterling Silver

Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% Copper. Sterling silver is more commonly used for jewellery, as it is more durable than pure silver itself.
You will find that Sterling Silver has a 925 stamp on every piece (this is also printed on gold Vermeil, as the base is Sterling Silver.)

Caring for sterling silver

Remove jewellery when showering or swimming as water and chemicals (chlorine) can affect its longevity.

The nature of Sterling Silver is that it can be prone to oxidation through contact with air. As a result, Sterling Silver pieces may tarnish. This is not a fault of the jewellery, and it can be rectified by gently using a specialised cleaning cloth. This will restore its shine and keep it looking its best.

As a tip, put your jewellery on last when getting ready. As makeup, hairspray, perfumes and creams may affect the longevity of your earrings.

Gold Vermeil

Pronounced 'ver-may'. Gold Vermeil pieces have a sterling silver base (this is what gives them their high-end finish and 'weightier' feel). Vermeil has been coated with 2.5 microns of 14k gold plate, which means it is very durable and super thick. Gold Vermeil pieces are a great option for excellent quality at a cost-effective price.

Caring for Gold Vermeil

Remove jewellery when showering or swimming because water and chemicals (chlorine) will affect the longevity of the gold plating.

Should you wish to clean your jewellery and restore its shine, it is recommended that you use a jewellery-specific polishing cloth to rub the surface of your earrings gently. Please be aware that abrasive liquids and polishing agents will wear away the layers of gold.
As a tip, put your jewellery on last when getting ready.  Makeup, hairspray, perfumes and creams may affect your earrings' longevity.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is an excellent choice for jewellery due to its durability, affordability, and resistance to tarnishing. Unlike other metals, stainless steel is highly resistant to rust, corrosion, and water damage, making it perfect for everyday wear, even in harsh conditions. It's also hypoallergenic, making it safe for sensitive skin. With its ability to maintain its shine and strength over time, stainless steel offers a stylish, low-maintenance option that lasts without the high cost of precious metals.

Caring for Stainless Steel

Caring for stainless steel jewellery is simple, as it's a durable and low-maintenance material. Here are a few easy tips:

Use warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth or brush to clean your jewellery. Gently scrub away any dirt or residue, then rinse and pat dry. Although stainless steel is resistant to tarnishing, exposure to chemicals like chlorine, bleach, or harsh cleaning agents can dull its shine. Store stainless steel jewellery in a dry place, ideally in a pouch or separate compartment to prevent scratching against other metals. Use a jewellery polishing cloth to keep your stainless steel pieces shiny and free from minor scratches.

By following these simple steps, you can keep your stainless steel jewellery looking like new for years.

Cubic Zirconia

This is one of the highest-quality replicas of natural diamonds. It can be clearer and brighter than natural diamonds.

Caring for Jewelled pieces

Remove jewellery when showering or swimming because water and chemicals (chlorine) will affect the longevity of every piece.
As a tip, put your jewellery on last when getting ready.  Makeup, hairspray, perfumes and creams may affect your earrings' longevity.

Storing jewellery

Store your beautiful pieces safely in a dry, fabric-lined jewellery box or a soft fabric pouch (the W&B pouch and box are great for this)
Store each piece individually to prevent any scratching or mixing with different metals if possible.
